'Americans to Cuba
, Passport Mexico'

Jan 21 , 2004

BY LISA DIMAKIS

Is it legal for a US Citizen to travel to Cuba?

Neil Sullivan, Portland, OR

This is a question we receive many times from our American clients. Right now it is not legal for an American citizen to travel to Cuba except on humanitarian grounds.

Passport Mexico?

Do I need a passport to go to Cancun/Mayan Riviera?

Kathrine Lee- Vancouver, British Columbia

No entry documents are required for those who travel to Mexico on foot or by car within 30 miles of the border. When traveling by air between the United States and Mexico or beyond 30 miles of the border, citizens of the United States, Canada and Mexico are required to produce evidence of citizenship either passport or birth certificate and government issued ID such as drivers license.
