When searching for a Honeymoon

What to Consider

When you are searching for the best honeymoon package for you and your spouse you must first decide these things.

Firstly consider your tastes. I have had customers determined to book the cheapest all-inclusive only to be completely dissatisfied with their trip, while I have also had very fussy customers also book fairly high-end packages and still be terribly disappointed because it still was not adequate enough. Be Careful of Brochures, they can sometimes give a false impression.

Secondly I think you should consider your budget. If you are dealing with a smallish budget we may still find nice short cruises or package still delivering a very high level value. A good agent should be able to be a big help in finding something suitable.

Thirdly I think you should consider if you have a particular type of destination. It is a different consideration than the first in that in the first you are considering more the rating level and in the third you are considering a particular destination.

Types of Honeymoon Vacations

In the space allotted I cannot possible list all companies and resorts specializing in honeymoon vacations but here are some:

Cruises: Variety of choices from high end to medium, accusable to a variety of budgets, excellent choice itineraries.
Personal favourite cruises: Alaska, Mediterranean. Alaska is a great cruise because of its awesome beauty while the Mediterranean cruises offer culturally and historically rich romantic destinations

Resorts: There are many resorts that cater to Honeymooners including: Couples, Sandals, Club Med, Superclubs, Breezes as well as many specialty resorts.

Personal Favourites: Each one has there own special charm for example in Sandals St Lucia was a very romantic place on one of my favourite islands. There are three resorts and while staying there, you can dine at any of the 13 restaurants located in the three resorts. In contrast to that, Club Med is a little lower end catering more to the active crowed; one of my favourite places was the 4 Trident Club Med located on Columbus Island in the Bahamas. This was like having your own private island great beach as well as higher end room for Club Med standards.

Destinations

Destinations are a very subjective thing. Some people like History and culture while others prefer warm beaches and high-end service.

Personal Favourites: I loved the island of St Lucia. Flush green volcanic island full of Honeymooners enjoying the scenery, weather, spas and friendly people.
Alaska is also extremely beautiful; very rugged great wildlife and magical scenery.
Tahiti is another lush green wondrous place with great scenery, beaches as well as friendly people. Italy, Greece, Spain and Portugal offer up rich culture and tastes.

There are too many Honeymoon options for me to mention here, so my advice is plan early and to consult an experienced travel professional before spending your hard earned money on a vacation that does not fill your expectations for your dream honeymoon.
